  • Update.

    Wow. It's been a while.

    A quick update:
Just this past summer I went on a 6 month missions trip with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Hong Kong called a Discipleship Training School (DTS). Using the performing arts, we were able to share with people the message of Jesus in South Korea, Japan, Cambodia and Thailand. I can't even tell you how much I've learned through that trip. And hopefully I've grown some.

I just moved back to Naperville from the Bay Area and I'll be here until January. I will hopefully be returning to YWAM Hong Kong then for a 2 year short-term staffing position (pending acceptance of my application, which is pretty certain, unless God for some reason tells them that I shouldn't be going there..). Going on my missions trip confirmed God's call on my life for missions. If you want more details, email me and I'll be more than happy to expound.

So in the meantime I've been hanging out at home, watching my brother's special olympics bball games, and getting a little fat and lazy.

But if you would like to be included on my support list and you aren't already, please let me know.

  • My find.

Recently, I have been showing everyone that comes over to my place my inadvertent discovery. Daisy and I have a habit of buying cheap can openers which end up breaking or are extremely dysfunctional. So I finally decided to go to Marshall's and spend a little extra money so I wouldn't end up with carpal tunnel from trying to open cans.

I ended up buying this can opener from Kuhn Rikon. I thought it was like one of those asian can openers that cuts the whole lid off the can, but instead, it slices the rim in half and it doesn't leave a single sharp edge. You can even stick the lid back on like a cap. And it comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Sorry if you think this is an inane entry. But I suppose this is what gets a pseudo-designer's blood flowing. It's like when my coworkers came over for dinner and they were playing with my garbage can for 10 minutes because the mechanism was so smooth.

Anyways, I'm trying to waste time and pull an all nighter so I will arrive at HK w/ minimal jetlag..

    Amazing.

You guys have to watch this, especially all you guitar players. I just discovered them this week. Although I wonder if at some point Gabriela is going to have repetitive stress syndrome or something..

Well, today was my last day at work. And I'm leaving this coming Thursday. I better start packing...

  • What the heck?!

Winston's married! None of us could believe it, even though we watched it with our own eyes.

But congratulations to Becky & Winston. :)

    The newlyweds.

Good job, Spencer, on incorporating divorce rate statistics into your Best Man speech.

Spencer is popular with the ladies.
